List resources

List available sandbox VM images, platforms, and capacity limits for profile creation.

What this endpoint does

Lists all available sandbox analysis environments — VM images, supported platforms, and their capacity. This is the discovery endpoint for finding valid OS and locale tags when creating profiles with Sandbox: Create Profile or submitting samples with Sandbox: Submit Sample. Available platforms span Windows (7, 10, 11), macOS, Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu), and Android in multiple locales and architectures. For VPN exit point discovery (used with network: "vpn" profiles), see Sandbox: List Geolocations.

Response data

Returns sandbox backends with their available VM images — this tells you exactly which execution environments you can target. Each resource has tags using a key:value format (e.g., os:windows10-2004-x64, locale:en-us, arch:x64) — copy these tag values directly into profile tags arrays or sample submission requests. The max_capacity on each resource indicates concurrent analysis limits — if you're submitting in bulk, check capacity to avoid queuing delays. Resources are grouped by backend; the same OS image may appear on multiple backends, meaning the sandbox can distribute load across them.
